O QUE UM PSICÓLOGO SABE SOBRE OS ANIMAIS? Uma crítica fenomenológica sobre a produção científica acerca das Intervenções Assistidas por Animais

Resumo


As intervenções Assistidas por Animais são um aglomerado de práticas interventivas, que contam com a participação de animais não-humanos, para propiciar algum benefício aos seres humanos. Nas últimas décadas, foram identificadas, por meio de inúmeras pesquisas publicizadas em artigos científicos, vários benefícios terapêuticos propiciados por esta prática. Diante disso, houve uma maior atenção da Psicologia sobre este tema. Este artigo propôs-se a avaliar, por meio do método fenomenológico e da crítica husserliana, se as pesquisas publicizadas por psicólogos sobre este tema evidenciavam alguma preocupação com o cuidado dos animais não-humanos. E, fundamentalmente, quais compreensões de bem-estar e de cuidado subsidiam os psicólogos na execução destas pesquisas. É portanto, um artigo de revisão bibliográfica, cuja preocupação central transita entre o campo da ética, ao indagar sobre como esses animais não-humanos tem sido cuidados; e epistemológica, uma vez que a crítica fenomenológica serviu para evidenciar certas compreensões naturalizadas de cuidado.
